ACTE Global Conference In Dallas
04/21/16We just returned from the ACTE Global Corporate Travel Conference in Dallas! As we continue to think about the conference, we can’t help but think…WOW! It was truly a great experience from start to finish! The conference focused on key trends in the business travel industry including our favorite, Traveler Centricity.
There were over 700 attendees from around the world onsite as well as online attendees who were treated to impressive speakers from throughout the travel industry. Two that were especially interesting to us included Gary Kelly, CEO of Southwest Airlines and Doug Parker, CEO of American Airlines. Their candid conversations were enlightening about the airline industry.
American Airlines treated us to an evening to remember at an American hanger at DFW International Airport where we got to tour American’s custom designed Boeing 787 Dreamliner! The highly technologically advanced plane provides an exceptional way to travel.
We were also impressed by the work sessions where industry professionals rolled up their sleeves to discuss their challenges and share best practices for tackling some of those issues. The insights from professionals from around the world added a great deal of value to the discussions!
As an exhibitor in InterACTE and an ACTEcelerator portfolio company, we enjoyed the opportunity to talk about Peoplocity’s disruptive innovation that directly impacts Traveler Centricity. We also got to meet other companies positively impacting business travel industry. Lyft, with their unique pink lips logo, provided attendees the opportunity to try their service with free rides. A couple other industry innovators you might want to checkout include Dufl– they will ship, clean and store your business attire, and TripLingo, a very cool translation app for international travelers.
We are looking forward to participating in the ACTE San Francisco and Atlanta Education Forums in the fall!
